Geoscientific Instrumentation, Methods and Data Systems indexed in Web of Science
19 May 2015
With great pleasure and pride we announce that Geoscientific Instrumentation, Methods and Data Systems (GI) has been accepted for inclusion in the Web of Science, an important indexing site widely used by the scientific community for article search and discovery. GI will be indexed and abstracted in the Science Citation Index Expanded, the Journal Citation Reports and Current Contents/Physical Chemical and Earth Sciences.
GI’s inclusion in the Web of Science is an important acknowledgement in the scientific and engineering communities since research output is measured by metrics such as the Impact Factor. We hope that this news encourages more engineers and scientists to submit their work to GI and benefit from article level metrics, fast publishing times, and open access to all articles.
We would like to thank all contributing authors, reviewers, the editorial board, and Copernicus Publications for making the journal such a success in a short period of time.
